The Microcystins-ADDA ELISA is an immunoassay for the quantitative and sensitive congener-independent detection of Microcystins and Nodularins in water samples.

This indirect competitive ELISA enables congener-independent detection of Microcystins and Nodularins. The assay utilizes specific antibodies that recognize Microcystins, Nodularins, and their congeners. When toxins are present in a sample, they compete with a Microcystins-protein analogue immobilized on the plate for antibody binding sites. Following washing steps and addition of a second antibody-HRP label, a color signal develops upon substrate addition. The blue color intensity is inversely proportional to the Microcystins concentration in the sample. After stopping the reaction, color evaluation occurs using an ELISA reader, with sample concentrations determined by interpolation from the standard curve.

The Microcystins-ADDA ELISA Test Kit has a capacity for 96 determinations or testing of 42 samples in duplicate. Return any unused microwells to the foil bag with the provided desiccant. Store the kit at 2-8°C. The shelf life is 12 months when properly stored.
