Warnings and Precautions

1. When compared to quantification by LC/MS or GC/MS, it is not uncommon for immunoassays to report higher analyte concentrations. While LC/MS or GC/MS methods typically measure only a single compound, antibodies used in immunoassays not only recognize the target molecule, but also structurally related molecules, including biologically relevant metabolites. So it is the responsibility of the client to understand the limits of both assays system and to interpret their data accordingly.

2. Any variation in operating procedure, pipetting technique, washing technique, incubating time or temperature etc, can cause variation in result.

3. Do not use the kit beyond the expiration date.

4. Do not mix or substitute reagents with those from other lots or sources.

5. Water used to prepare all ELISA reagents and buffers must be deionized or distilled water.

6. The standards contain deoxynivalenol. Particular care should be taken. Avoid contact of the reagent with the skin(use gloves).

7. The stop solution contains hydrochloric acid; avoid skin contact during use. Rinse with plenty of running water immediately if splashed on the skin; seek medical attention if severe.

8. Benzo(α)pyrene is a carcinogen. Operate with standards and positive samples in a fume hood, and wear long-sleeved lab coats, gloves and masks.
