Simple And Fast Antibodies to Peste des Petits Ruminants Virus (GICA)Test Kit
E10084
【Intended Use】
Small Ruminant Disease, commonly known as Sheep Plague or Pseudo Cow Plague, is a highly contagious disease caused by the Peste des Petits Ruminants Virus (PPRV) in goats, sheep, and wild small ruminants.
This reagent is used to detect antibodies against small ruminant animal disease virus in the blood of ruminants, and can be used for auxiliary diagnosis of small ruminant disease infection and evaluation of vaccine immune efficacy.
【Principle】
This reagent is prepared using the principle of colloidal gold immunochromatography (GICA). After the sample is added to the sample well, it moves along the chromatographic membrane with the colloidal gold marker. If PPRV antibodies are present in the sample, the detection line will display purple red. If PPRV antibodies are not present in the sample, no color reaction will occur.
【Interpretation of test results】
If you have not been vaccinated against small ruminant disease:
1 When there is no obvious color band at the detection line (T) of the tested sample, it indicates that there are no antibodies against the small ruminant virus in the tested sample. If corresponding acute symptoms occur, it cannot be ruled out that there is a small ruminant disease virus infection.
2 When there are obvious color bands at the detection line (T) of the tested sample, it is possible that it is a wild virus infection or a previous infection, and analysis should be conducted in combination with clinical and other methods.
If you have been vaccinated against small ruminant disease:
1.When the color of the test line (T) band of the tested sample is ≥ the 1:40 titer in the control card, it indicates that the antibody has a high titer and has reached a protective level.
2.When the color of the test line (T) band of the tested sample is less than the 1:40 titer in the control card, it indicates that the antibody titer has not reached the protective titer, and it is recommended to carry out vaccine re inoculation.
